Finals Reflection

The finals period of our information assurance and security subject provided us with valuable knowledge and insight, specifically on security software. We covered various topics, including bot mitigation, encryption software, network security, software monitoring tools, and password managers. Understanding botnets and the techniques used to detect and prevent their activities was eye-opening. We also learned about the importance of encryption in safeguarding sensitive information and explored different encryption software options. Exploring network security protocols and tools like VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS highlighted the need to protect networks from unauthorized access. Overall, this course deepened our understanding of cybersecurity and equipped us with practical knowledge to enhance our online security.

Overall, this final period was also challenging, but I would say having no onsite exam takes a way a little bit of the stress. Now I'm looking forward to the short break that is coming very soon, and take a needed vacation :).
